Africa Hunting
For many hunters, an African Safari is the pinnacle of our sport. To track game in the African bush, to stalk one of the Big Five, to watch the sun set over the plains and join our fellow hunters around a campfire to swap tales of the day. The Swahili word, Safari means, “a walking forth”, the first step in your journey to the Dark Continent is to commit to go. The hunting season in South Africa is year round and best times to come is April through September.

Experience the adventure of some of the best game hunting in the world – Africa. For the mixed bag hunter there is no place on earth with the quality and quantity of game available than Africa. The list of game animals is endless: zebra, eland, sable, buffalo, bushbuck, ostrich, crocodile, duiker, hartebeest, hippo, hyena, impala, kudu, lion, etc…
Most hunters will look first at South Africa as it is a great place for first time hunters as well as the experienced hunters looking for specific trophies that can only be taken here. The majority of the hunting is done on large private game ranches, which have exterior game fencing, but no interior fencing. Although the hunting is done on ranches, the hunt is still very challenging due to the size of the ranches. All the accommodations are of excellent standard in permanent lodges or luxury tent camps.
Africa is the perfect place to take your loved ones as they can shop, sightsee, take a photographic safari and enjoy this beautiful countryside while you spend the day hunting. Many outfitters offer reduced rates for nonhunting guests. For the cost of a Hawaiian vacation, you can have a family vacation of a lifetime.

They also offer plains game hunting in Zululand, Limpopo province and the Free State.

Since 1993, this outfitter has offered hunters the opportunity to hunt a wide selection of game species on their 2,500 acres private game reserve in the East Cape area of South Africa. In addition, they have leased an additional 200,000-acre concession area that provides excellent hunting opportunities for the big game hunter. The Eastern Cape has one of the highest species diversity concentrations in Southern Africa, which offers the hunter a wide variety of species to select from. All the hunting areas are both Malaria and Bilharzia free. Excellent Bushbuck and Bushpig are amongst their specialties. The elusive Blue Duiker is also hunted here.
Bow hunting opportunities are excellent, from blinds or on stalk. Non-hunting companions welcome for only $200/day and children are free. Lots of nonhunting activities in the area for the family including Addo Elephant Park, lion breeding preserve, beach resorts and deep sea fishing, photographic safari’s, surfing and shopping, etc…
